HOW WE INSTALL MOST PAVING

STEP 1.
Remove existing grass usually using a turf cutter, or digger.

STEP 2.
Edge the area where required. All sorts of edging can be used, such as sleepers, concrete, slabs and timber.

STEP 3.
Dig out area to required depth of approximately 30cm depending on ground conditions. This will include our base material and full bed of mortar.

STEP 4.
Lay the sub base, usually scalping and compact thoroughly.

STEP 5.
Lay slabs using a full bed of concrete. Some slabs will need specific additives, which the Green Roots team can advise.

STEP 6.
Point the slabs, if required. Natural pointing looks great with natural stone materials and some do not require any.

STEP 7.
Let the paving settle and an optional treatment of sealer is advised to protect the surface.
